The Board of Directors is very excited to announce that Craig Smith has accepted the position of Competitive Head Coach at Milton Springers Gymnastics Club. Craig is a Level 4 gymnastics coach, bringing almost 30 years of gymnastics coaching experience, including several years working as a competitive head coach. Craig is a graduate of the Seneca College’s Coaching Techniques for Gymnastics program. He has experienced many successes in the Provincial program; most recently coaching athletes to all around provincial champion status at level 8 with several athletes performing medal winning bar routines at championships.
Craig has experience building a national program from the ground up and has coached several athletes who have attended prestigious events such as Elite Ontario, Canada Winter Games, and National Championships, with athletes achieving all around champion status in the Novice, Junior, Senior and Open categories. He has travelled with athletes to international events and also helped athletes pursue scholarships to American universities. In addition to his coaching accreditations, Craig is also certified in High Five principles of healthy child development.
We are very excited to have Craig join our competitive coaching staff and welcome his experience and gymnastics knowledge to guides our club to the next level in the evolution of our programs!
