Milton Springers Fundamental Team
Fundamentals is non-competitive program that runs from September to June for girls who are turning 5 or older. This team does require a try-out, that is typically held at the end of May. These groups train 3-5 hours per week, focusing on developing strength, flexibility and proper techniques to build a strong foundation for learning more difficult skills. At the end of each year in June, we host an in-house Showcase for Fundamental athletes to demonstrate what they have learned throughout the season. For some, this program can be a stepping stone into our competitive program, but for others this program is a great place to keep learning new skills and staying fit without the intensity & commitment of a competitive program.

Fundamentals is a 4 or 5 hour per week commitment (2 hours on a weeknight evening and 2-3 hours on a Friday evening or Saturday, depending on the group). We have a Jr. Fundamental program for 5 year olds that is a 3 hour per week commitment (1.5 hours on a weeknight evening and 1.5 hours on a Friday evening or Saturday, depending on the group). The program runs from September to June. It is a non-competitive program that focuses on developing strength, flexibility and proper techniques to build a strong foundation for learning more difficult skills. Instead of report cards, coaches provide progress reports 1 time throughout the season before Winter break. At the end of each year, we host an in-house Showcase for Fundamental athletes to demonstrate what they have learned throughout the season! Please note, availability in the 5 hour Fundamental group is extremely limited at this time.
